Our research combines the strengths of statistical AI with symbolic knowledge to create models that are powerful, transparent, interpretable, and grounded in real-world contexts. We take a human-centered approach, applying our methods in smart environments and employing innovative user interfaces to provide meaningful interactions for end-users.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By fostering interdisciplinary collaborations (e.g., with legal scholars, environmental experts, and industry partners) we aim to bridge fundamental research with real-world applications.
