This year’s Long Night of Research promises to be an unforgettable event, taking place on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. across more than 200 exhibition venues throughout Austria. A highlight of the event will be the participation of IT:U Interdisciplinary Transformation University Austria located at Science Park 4 on the JKU campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for a unique exploration of cutting-edge technologies and innovative research questions. IT:U opens its doors to the public, offering a closer look at the practical applications of artificial intelligence in today’s academic and technological landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interactive Stations to Spark Curiosity and Dialogue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visionary Education<\/strong>:<\/strong> Our first interactive station invites you to imagine the future of education. Here, your ideas will be transformed by AI into vibrant colors and shapes, displayed in the IT:U’s expansive Idea Pool. This engaging activity allows every participant to contribute their vision directly to the university of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtual Crisis Management<\/strong>:<\/strong> At the second station, delve into the world of virtual reality to tackle global challenges. Participants will assume the role of incident commanders, collaborating across locations to mitigate environmental disasters. This simulation offers a hands-on experience of future global crisis management techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animated Literature<\/strong>:<\/strong> Ever wondered if books could come to life? Our third station addresses this intriguing question by using Artificial Intelligence to animate literary content. You’ll interact with characters from books, brought to life by AI, which responds to questions and participates in discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
