Have you developed a strong academic background and want to enhance it with digital skills and a technical background? Our PhD students work intensively with Computational X professors and scientists to develop interdisciplinary solutions expanding the boundaries of knowledge and possibility.
Requirements
PhD candidates have to hand in a proof of completion of a master’s degree in a subject relevant to the respective study program, or in another subject at least at the same higher education level, from a recognized domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution. To compensate for significant subject-related differences, supplementary examinations may be prescribed and must be taken by the end of the second semester of the PhD program.

Your 4-year path to your PhD
The PhD curriculum at IT:U follows a 4-year path. In the first year, emphasis is placed on focussed research lab modules.
The first year concludes with the PhD Proposal Presentation. This is followed over 3 years by the development and writing of the PhD thesis. This is accompanied by interdisciplinary research seminars and work as a project assistant.
The PhD programme concludes after the 4th year with the submission and defence of the PhD thesis.
