DigiEduHack 2024
DigiEduHack is a global initiative of the European Commission that empowers institutions to collaboratively shape the future of education through challenge-based innovation. In 2024, IT:U hosted its own two-day edition, Transform Futures of Higher Education through Analytics in Action, bringing together 17 participants from 11 countries—including the university’s first PhD cohort in Digital Transformation in Learning. The hackathon was framed around inclusive, human-centered uses of learning analytics and AI. Through a tightly choreographed blend of workshops, hacking, and mentoring, teams developed analytics-based prototypes addressing equity, engagement, and educational relevance. The project “Electropolis: The Politics of Decision” was selected as a global finalist for the DigiEduHack Awards.
Timeline
The hackathon spanned 24 hour over two intensive days, full of integrated workshops, hacking sessions, and final pitches (November 12–13, 2024).
