IT:U Opens 2nd Application Call for Master’s Program
After overwhelming interest during the first call, and to ensure that as many qualified applicants as possible have a fair opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at IT:U, we are excited to announce a new call for the MSc in Interdisciplinary Computing. The application will be open from early July 2025 through the end of September 2025.
This decision was made in order to accommodate a wide range of regional, administrative, and personal circumstances — particularly regarding visa procedures, financial planning, and international mobility.
The call is applicable for intake Winter Semester 2025/2026 and Summer Semester 2026.
IT:U also aims to reach prospective students who may only decide to pursue a master’s program later in the summer, who become aware of our academic offerings later, and/or who presently study in an academic environment that is currently undergoing major changes.
The new call provides greater flexibility — both for international and European applicants — and reflects our commitment to creating an open, accessible, and inclusive academic environment.
The MSc in Interdisciplinary Computing at IT:U is open to graduates from all academic backgrounds who are interested in combining computing with insights from other fields. The program encourages students to think beyond disciplinary boundaries and equips them with the skills needed to use and further develop digital technologies and tools of artificial intelligence to address real-world challenges.
Starting in October 2025, the program emphasizes project-based and collaborative learning in small, interdisciplinary groups. Students will gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies such as robotics, virtual reality, and AI, while working closely with faculty and industry partners. All courses are taught in English, and applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and demonstrate academic potential and motivation for interdisciplinary work.
