IT:U DigiEduHack 2025 is in the books
This year’s edition focused on rethinking education in the digital era, bringing together great ideas, teamwork, and lots of energy across three intense days. With five strong interdisciplinary teams, the hackathon showcased how data, learning analytics, and AI can meaningfully improve higher education.
Congratulations to our winning team BAM AI
Amir Ansari, Breno Lucas da Silva Soares, and Mafaza Nazar impressed the jury with an AI powered engagement dashboard that helps teachers monitor real time student engagement, receive smart in-class alerts, and review when and where engagement drops.

Five teams, five ideas, one vision
- BAM DASH — Team BAM AI (Winning Team)
An integrated AI dashboard using LMS data, smartphone signals, and IoT sensors to predict student engagement in real time. It provides class alerts, student check-ins, and post-class analytics to help teachers understand engagement dips and adjust their teaching strategies.
- FairCollab — Team Collabear
An AI-driven teamwork analytics extension that tracks collaboration inside LMS and platforms like Google Docs. It visualizes contribution balance, communication flow, and engagement to support fairness, transparency, and reflective learning for both students and educators. - Metabase — Team Homebase
An AI assistant that turns instructors’ learning outcomes and course inputs into structured, interactive lesson plans. Powered by an LLM aligned with EU learning principles, it brings active learning into every classroom while reducing prep time for educators.
- The AI Playground — Team only3
An AI literacy sandbox where students can safely experiment with prompting, verification, and responsible AI use. It logs interactions, identifies learning gaps, and provides tailored guidance, while instructors access dashboards for targeted support and improved project-based learning.
- TransitionIQ — Team TransitionIQ
A lightweight AI assistant that transforms quick 1–5 self-ratings into personalized skill-transition roadmaps. It helps learners switching disciplines track progress, understand readiness levels, and build confidence through milestone-based guidance and certificates.
Thank you to all organizers, mentors, and judges for your support and dedication. And huge congratulations to all teams for contributing bright, creative, and impactful ideas.
