MOMO Lab provides students with the opportunity to record and analyze the movements and sound of both individuals and groups. Through project-based learning, they explore motion and audio analysis, transforming insights into innovative solutions across diverse fields.

For us, every lab is more than just a name — it’s a persona. MOMO embodies the essence of motion, audio and technology, believing that human potential is unlocked through movement. She inspires us to analyze and understand motion and sound to develop impactful and creative solutions.

Motion & Audio

The lab is equipped with a network of 16 high-resolution cameras connected to a powerful central computer, along with wearable markers, sensors, an Ambisonics sound system, and various other tools designed to bring sensory analysis to life.

Project-based Learning

Visual depiction of 3D human body movements is a foundation for many fast developing branches from digital healthcare till robotics and fashion. Imagine a medical student and a mathematician collaborating to develop a digital solution that enables faster rehabilitation or an injury-free movement for dancers or sportsmen. Graduates leverage lab technology to gain insights on dynamical 3D human data and create innovative solutions for healthcare, athletics, and diverse industrial sectors.

Meet the Expert

Meet Yana Vereshchaga, LearnLab Expert and lecturer at the MOMO, who helps drive IT:U’s mission to create interdisciplinary digital solutions for human motion applications. Yana introduces to students the world of technology for 3D human motion models acquisition, its data analysis and creation of avatars animations.

MOMO lab is like a recording studio for 3D human motion. Equipped with high-resolution cameras, advanced sensors, and sophisticated graphical software, the lab bridges the gap between physical movement and digital animation for the entertainment and industrial sectors. Here, students master the foundations of human modeling and gain the hands-on expertise needed to prototype innovative, real-world solutions.

Yana Vereshchaga possesses interdisciplinary expertise in biomedical science and tech entrepreneurship, with a focus on creating innovative smart wearables for human motion analysis and dance biomechanics.
