In this lab, students learn to collect, combine, and analyze data from diverse sources using machine learning and artificial intelligence
DORO
The lab is equipped with powerful AI computing infrastructure and a variety of data sources, including seismographs, weather and environmental sensors, as well as a meteor camera. Learning projects enable students to, for example, detect changes in urban traffic patterns through ground vibrations or track meteors and satellites in the Linz night sky. For instance, an energy technician and an economist could collaborate to develop an AI model that optimizes energy consumption in local shared energy communities, contributing significantly to the long-term security of the energy supply in Upper Austria.
