Our campuses in Linz are located right in the heart of Europe, combining the diverse offerings of a large city with the charm and green surroundings of a regional town. Linz is also a major transportation hub offering numerous possibilities to quickly reach many European cities by car, plane, or train. IT:U operates across two campuses located just a few minutes apart — the IT:U Education Campus, dedicated to teaching and learning, and the IT:U Research Campus, focused on research and innovation. The administrative teams of IT:U are also based at the Research Campus.

By car
To IT:U Education Campus (Science Park 4)
From the A7, coming from Gallneukirchen or Linz, take the Linz-Dornach exit. Continue straight on Altenberger Straße toward JKU/University. At the traffic lights near the tram terminus, go straight ahead and turn right into JKU/Science Park. Drive into the underground car park, follow the road to the SCP4 section of the building, and use any free, unsignposted parking space. The reception is located on the 2nd floor.
To IT:U Research Campus (Freistädter Straße 400)
From the A7, take the Linz-Dornach exit and turn right toward Plesching/Linz-Katzbach. Continue straight, cross the motorway bridge, and turn right into Freistädter Straße 400. Take the first left to enter the underground car park, turn right inside, and choose a free parking space. The IT:U Welcome Desk is located on the 1st floor.
By public transport
To IT:U Education Campus
Take the train to Linz main station. Go downstairs to take tram line 1 or 2 to “Universität.”
It takes about 25 minutes to get to the stop “Universität.” Walk straight ahead towards JKU/the university campus, then turn right into the Science Park. Science Park 4 is located at the back and just about a 5-minute walk away.
To IT:U Research Campus
From Linz main station, take tram line 1 or 2 in the same direction (toward “Universität”) but get off at “Linke Brückenstraße.” From there, take bus line 33 and get off at “Further Weg” station. The IT:U Research Campus (Freistädter Straße 400) is just a 1-minute walk from the bus stop.
By plane
To IT:U Education Campus
Linz/Hörsching Airport is about 19 km from IT:U. From the airport, take bus line 601 to the main train station. Then take tram line 1 or 2 to “Universität.” Walk straight ahead toward JKU/the university campus and turn right into the Science Park — Science Park 4 is at the back and only a 5-minute walk.
To IT:U Research Campus
From the airport, take bus line 601 to Linz main station. Then take tram line 1 or 2 toward “Universität” and get off at “Linke Brückenstraße.” From there, transfer to bus line 33 and get off at “Further Weg.”
The IT:U Research Campus (Freistädter Straße 400) is just a 1-minute walk away.
