In this lab, students learn to measure, analyze, and enhance the collaboration between humans and machines using a wide range of technology. They develop skills in experimental design and evaluation, exploring how to better integrate technology into human life.
Lab Persona
Every IT:U lab represents a unique persona. INES believes that technology becomes truly useful when it is adapted to the task, environment, and individual. She is convinced that by investing more time and effort into aligning technology with human attributes, we can improve collaboration not only with machines but also with one another.
Hands-on with Technology
The lab is equipped with wireless biosensors, a simulated work environment, and a central data storage system. Learning projects investigate topics such as how distractions caused by mobile devices affect productivity in everyday work.
Project-based Learning
Imagine a medical professional and a sociologist could collaborate to create an app that detects work overload and promotes relaxation through AI-generated imagery, benefiting both employees by reducing stress and businesses through increased productivity.
Meet the Expert
Meet Nelson—our senior researcher, lecturer, and the INES lab expert. He equips students with the skills to master advanced lab equipment, giving them access to the latest technology and hands-on mentorship.
