Julia Pöschko
I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Graz with a background in Psychology and Computational Social Systems. My research interests lie at the intersection of Psychology and Computer Science, which is also the focus of my doctoral studies. In my dissertation, I explore how recent advancements in AI (particularly large language models) can be harnessed to enhance learning while mitigating potential risks like skill deterioration. Specifically, our project aims to develop and evaluate an AI-based learning environment for university students to acquire skills in computational thinking, a crucial 21st century cognitive ability. I conduct my research under the supervision of Prof. Manuela Paechter and in collaboration with the Digi-Trail Research Group at IT:U.
