5.10 pm: Lecture by Johanna Ullrich on: “Cybersecurity: Why It Matters (and Why It Fails)” 

• Understanding threats for critical infrastructures such as the power grid 
• Hacking popular communication infrastructure like WhatsApp and Signal 
• Utilizing the Internet as a sensor for the war in Ukraine 

5.45 pm: Lecture by Beatrix C. Hiesmayr on: “IT:U goes Quantum: From Computing to Applications in Medical Science” 

• Quantum technologies hold enormous promise because their underlying principles differ fundamentally from those driving today’s devices. 
• We are only beginning to master the preparation, control, and measurement of quantum systems, and early applications, such as quantum computing and secure quantum communication, are already emerging.
