Who We Are
An independent, impartial, and confidential resource for all IT:U students. The Ombudsperson does not issue disciplinary decisions, but works to support fair solutions and ensure that student concerns are heard and addressed constructively.
What We Do
- Mediation & Dialogue: Facilitate respectful conversations between students, staff, and administration.
- Guidance: Clarify university rules, procedures, and your rights.
- Fairness: Promote respectful and equitable treatment across the university.
- Support: Provide a safe, confidential space to talk through concerns.
- Referral: Direct you to the right office if another body is better suited.
When to Contact Us
- If you feel unfairly treated.
- If you’re uncertain about your rights or university procedures.
- If you would like to resolve a conflict informally before using formal channels.
- If you need a neutral person to listen and guide you.
What We Cannot Do
- Change exam results or grades.
- Override laws, regulations, or official decisions.
- Act as legal representation or replace academic appeals.
Our Working Principles
- Confidentiality: Your case stays private unless you consent.
- Impartiality: No sides are taken.
- No Retaliation: Protection is guaranteed when contacting in good faith.
