Yesica Duarte
Yesica Duarte is an artist-researcher specializing in electronic arts and extended reality (XR). development. She has worked serves as a professor of Virtual Reality Experience Design and holds a Master’s degree in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts. Currently, she is pursuing a specialization in Design for Human-Computer Interaction. Yesica’s work delves into immersive XR languages and wearable interfaces, focusing on biosensor technology and Somaesthetic Interaction Design. Her projects often explore the convergence of performance and XR installations, emphasizing her role of researcher as performance in immersive experiences. She has gained recognition among her peers in Latin America for her research-creation work, and has participated in exhibitions and residencies in Canada, India, and Montreal. She has participated in exhibitions and residencies in Montreal and across Latin America, gaining recognition for her research-creation thesis.
