Jocksan Villavicencio Villavicencio
Jocksan is a PhD student in the Computational Neuroscience Group at IT:U. He holds a bachelor’s in Genomic Sciences and a master’s in Computational and Mathematical Biology from CENTURI, Aix-Marseille Université. His research focuses on brain connectivity and neural dynamics, drawing on data-driven and systems-level approaches. He brings interdisciplinary experience in ecological systems, neural computation, and biological network modeling from research work in Mexico, Germany, and France.
Neuroscientist by Day, Powerlifter by Night – His brain analyzes neural networks while his body builds them. He applies the same dedication to both his research and his workouts, and one day hopes to unlock the secret of how to deadlift while reading research papers.
