As a Fellow Professor of Computational Educational Psychology at IT:U, Prof. Paechter explores technology-enhanced learning and cognitive processes in digital education. Her work integrates educational psychology with computational methods, optimizing learning environments and student engagement. This concerns individual as well as collaborative learning processes.
Short Bio:
Manuela Paechter is the head of the Educational Psychology Research Group at the University of Graz. Her research examines the complex relationships between the characteristics of teaching and learning environments, students‘ attitudes, emotions, learning processes, and academic performance. A key focus of her work is the role of gender and individual learner characteristics in learning across different fields of knowledge.
In addition to her research, Prof. Paechter has played an active role in academic governance, serving as head of the Institute of Psychology, as a member of the doctoral school of Psychology and as a long-standing member of the Senate of the University of Graz.
