Julie-Michèle Morin is an artist-researcher currently completing her doctoral thesis in robotics and theatre at the University of Montreal and the University of Antwerp. Her work critically examines the intersections between performance arts, robotics, and technofeminist theory, exploring how these realms mutually inform and influence one another. Morin frequently engages in dramaturgical consulting and cultural criticism, producing insightful analyses and manifestos around human-machine interactions and technological ethics. She is also an Artist in Residence at the SETI Institute for 2024–2025, deepening her inquiry into technology’s societal and performative impacts through practical experimentation and creative performance projects. Morin’s contributions span academic, artistic, and media contexts, establishing her as an influential voice at the crossroads of technology, performance, and critical theory.
„My work playfully explores the complexities between humans and robots, merging art and critical theory to question technological norms and societal expectations through performance, disobedience, and feminist inquiry.„
