Jingyao Zhang
Short bio:
Jingyao Zhang is a PhD student at the Geo-social AI Research Group at IT:U. His research focuses on multimodal and multi-source information fusion, aiming to integrate heterogeneous data such as text, images, spatial locations, and temporal information. His goal is to develop methods that enable semantic alignment and joint reasoning across different modalities to support complex spatial analysis and decision-making tasks. Jingyao holds a master’s degree in computer science from Hefei University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in computer network engineering from Anhui Agricultural University. Before starting his PhD, he worked as a software engineer at Meituan and ByteDance (TikTok), where he contributed to the development of large-scale software systems. His dual background in academic research and industrial software engineering provides him with a unique perspective on building practical and robust AI systems.
