Abir Utthasani
Short bio:
Abir is a PhD student in the research group on the dynamics of Social Behavior (DynoSoB) at IT:U. His work focuses on investigating mathematical models of cooperation in changing environments. Traditional models of direct reciprocity fail to account for interactions between the players and the environment. Abir works with evolutionary game theory to study cooperation in stochastic games and shed light on the mystery of evolution of cooperation. He holds a Master’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata where he initially worked in theoretical high energy physics and later discovered his passion for game theory and evolutionary dynamics.
