Amanda Bennets
Amanda Bennetts is an Australian new media and installation artist based on the Sunshine Coast (Kabi Kabi Country). Her work explores care, disability, and the sociopolitical dimensions of illness through immersive environments that blend sound, video, technology, and everyday materials. A graduate of Queensland College of Art, she received the 2022 Industry Graduation Award (Best in Show). Her solo exhibitions include shows at Firstdraft (Sydney) and Metro Arts (Brisbane), and she was a finalist for the Churchie Emerging Art Prize at the Institute of Modern Art. Bennetts has presented internationally at Ars Electronica and participated in CTM Festival’s MusicMakers Hacklab in Berlin, as well as ISEA Brisbane 2024.
