Letta Shtohryn
Short bio:
Letta Shtohryn is an award-winning artist and researcher specializing in XR, CGI, machinima, video, generative AI, and video game development. Her work bridges speculative storytelling and extended reality to explore the intersection of physical and digital realms. Through a posthumanist lens, Letta investigates embodiment, considering the presence of non-human life forms, machines, avatars, aliens, monsters, and ghosts. Her projects have been showcased at Ars Electronica Center (Austria), Hellerau Biennale (Germany), Centre Pompidou (France), and Frieze Art Fair (New York City). Letta holds degrees in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Vienna and an MFA in Digital Arts from the University of Malta, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focusing on XR, motion capture performance, streaming, liveness, and video games.
