Habeel Alam is a PhD candidate at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Pakistan. His research centers on the adoption potential and economic impact of agrivoltaic systems through techno-economic modeling and optimization. In the academic year 2023-24, Habeel was a Global Development Hub Fellow at Imperial College London’s Department of Physics. He is currently a commonwealth split site PhD scholar at Lancaster University. He has contributed to publications on agrivoltaics, including studies on vertical bifacial agrivoltaic systems and module tracking differences between agrivoltaics and standard photovoltaics.
“By using digital modeling and simulation, I explore how energy and agriculture can work together across disciplines to support more sustainable systems for food and energy worldwide”
