Jonathan Kubik

Jonathan Kubik is a PhD student in the Computational Neuroscience Group at IT:U. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science from TU Graz. His research focuses on how insights from brain function can inform the development of more powerful and adaptable AI systems. He is particularly interested in the emergence of complex learning behavior from simple rules, the role of inductive biases in the brain, and neuromodulator-enhanced plasticity in neural networks. Outside of research, he enjoys bouldering as a way to challenge both body and mind.
